Summer hot days means working horses early or not at all. The
babies are all growing up SO fast!!
Don't forget I'm now offering video lessons. You send me the CD of your
training session, I send back an audio commentary. You also get 5 email Q&A
exchanges — all for only the amazing introductory price of only $25. And, I
found another way cool site and created a short Flash movie from some of my
video footage.
Toufee.com lets you make your own flash movies and website banners. It's
really easy to use. After you make your movie, they keep it on their computers
so then you can just click on the link to see it in a little window of its own.

This particular video demonstrates the "change of rein" exercise
I use at the beginning of every lesson, no matter what level the horse is at.
It's excellent for developing the necessary muscles for fluid balance since the
horse has to get his weight back in order to make the turn. The predictability
of the pattern lets the horse readjust his weight when he knows he needs
to. When the horse understands the lesson, it's another way to develop the sense
of partnership and cooperation.
New Website (cont'd)
The transition to the new website that Microsoft is (still)
offering for free has been finished. I'm not sure it's quite as nice in the new
version, but I'll see. Of course, my original site
(www.calliejordan.com) is still operative —
especially since it's listed on equestrian directory sites all over the world —
but I'd like to see if there are more ways to get the word out.
I'm hoping folks will find the Contact Us form and I'm looking
for more questions for my FAQ, and also for more video footage for the proposed
book/video everyone wants me to make. You can also find
another email link at my main site www.calliejordan.com.
Announcements
Although I'm still working on the book on my philosophy and techniques that
everyone's been asking for, someone else has come close to writing the same one
I would have. The Power of Positive Horse Training: Saying Yes to Your Horse by
Sarah Blanchard. She even mentions driving because she co-authored the wildly
popular Heike Bean book on Carriage Driving, that was a collector's item but has
now been reprinted in paperback.
I still think I'll get the videos done although the format keeps changing. If
you'd like to send me some video footage, perhaps I can use it. You can also
send me questions for my FAQ page using the Contact Us form. Also, don't forget
to send me photos for the slideshow. I seem to be able to receive email now at
the new address callie@groundworktrainingsystem.com
— go ahead and test it for me — or you can always use the link on my main page
at www.calliejordan.com.
